What do you do when something so dear to your heart is removed? How do you process these feelings of guilt and sadness? How do you explain it to your children about lost friends and family? At times I am confused and then I pray some more for clarity of mind and peace of my heart and spirit.
When life is hard and our hearts are broken, God is not done working. If we are willing He has something for us to do. GOD IS SOVEREIGN. He takes any and all circumstances and uses them for our good if we continue to walk with Him and follow His leading.
Although we had to leave our place of ministry, my husband and I are not done “ministering” to God’s people. Where? When? For how long? All of these questions are ones that we don’t have answers to yet. I always pictured my children growing up in the church we were at, but those pictures have changed. I always pictured those people as forever friends, I am praying they can be. But for now we are grieving and healing and WAITING on God. What a place to be! My family is poised and ready to serve. It is like sitting on the starting line waiting for God to say “Go”. He will show us the course in His time. Maybe only a little at a time, but just what we need. GOD IS SOVEREIGN!
The Bible is our handbook and Christ is our guide. I wouldn’t want it any other way. God has taken this situation and used it to benefit my husband and I. We have learned a lot. We are closer now than we ever have been. When everything around us crumbles, we turn to each other. This process of the two becoming one is amazing! GOD IS SOVEREIGN!
Well, now it is time to look ahead with anticipation to what God has in store. I believe with all my heart that God will still use my husband in ministry. He desires to please God and to lead God’s people in a deeper walk with their Lord. God won’t just let Him sit on the sidelines. Where? We don’t know. How long until that time? Only God knows. But we will wait. GOD IS SOVEREIGN!
…….acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. 1 Chronicles 28:9
