Over the next few weeks I will be enjoying the help of a personal trainer while in the comfort of my home. The at home fitness plan that I will be following was put together by my long time blogging friend, Samantha. When we met years ago I was truly inspired by Samantha’s commitment to health and fitness even for busy mom’s. Over the last few years Samantha has focused even more on making health and fitness a career and she is now a certified personal trainer. She blogs about her adventure-filled life living in Alaska with her two boys and her husband on Alaska Mama Notes.
Here are my goals for the next month during my time with Samantha’s accountability and workouts. My core. The end. If I can tighten and tone my core any at all I will be so excited! After 6 c-sections and 7 pregnancies in less than 12 years my core muscles are almost non-existent. I am trying to focus on making healthy food choices and drink lots and lots of water in addition to my work outs but I am choosing to not beat myself up over food. Life is way to short and this is a journey and not a battle. Healthy living, not a diet.
After the first week of workouts I am excited to start again. The workouts were just right for me. They pushed me hard and I was tired by the end but they were not impossible or overwhelming. I chose to have the workouts structured to be done at home because the town I live in doesn’t have a good gym. I bought some small dumbbells to make the workouts more effective but that is the only cost that I had to be able to do the routines.
Over the next few weeks I will be updating you on my progress and on the goals that I have reached. My first physical goal for myself is to be able to do a full sit up (not a crunch, but a full sit up) unassisted. Let’s see how long it takes me to reach this goal. I’m glad you are following along.
