In the last verse in the book of John scripture tells us….
25And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
WOW! Jesus did so many important and world changing things in His short time here on Earth that the world couldn’t contain the books needed to record them all. That took my breath away when I read it. Just stop and think. Most of us will live longer than He did but what will people remember about us? Would there be anything worth recording? Would anyone outside of my family notice when I pass away?
I know many days I feel as though I don’t impact the world. I seldom leave my home and when I do I have my hands full of children and it is hard to stop and share with strangers and such. But this verse has gotten me thinking. I must find a way to fulfill my heart’s desire to impact this world. And while I am changing this world with the 5 lives I am cultivating, I long to do more.
Do you ever feel the need to serve others outside of your home? I know that God has called me to my home and that is my first priority but I am praying about how else God wants to use this busy momma to five outside of my “comfort zone”. For I want my children to be able to look back on their life and see that momma served others. Not just them, but others. So whether it is dropping off a meal or treat for a friend, taking a loaf of bread to a neighbor, or even paying for another momma’s lunch in line behind me at McDonald’s I want to touch other’s lives.
Can you help me? Do you have any other ideas on how to touch someone without neglacting my role here in my home? Am I the only one that wants to touch lives outside of my home?

I do believe as a pastor’s wife,you touch the lives of your church in ways you would never know. Which is outside your home and in turn would cause others to pass it on.

I have been thinking about this alot lately as well.
I am going to start taking people treats or meals.
I’m also going to put together bags to carry either in the diaper bag or car of things I can leave places.
For example I am going to buy a pack of disposable diapers and wipes. I’m going to separate them into bags and write a note to place in each one. I plan to leave them on public changing tables.
I’m also going to put enough change for a soda or snack in a vending machine in zip lock bags and leave that on vending machines.
I’m trying to come up with other ideas. I saw these 2 somewhere else.
We should get together and have a brainstorming day. OR! It could be the topic of the next women’s meeting.
