Do you aspire to instill Biblical character in your children?
Have you ever wondered how to help your children learn how to deal with conflict without always needing you to intervene?
Well at Doorposts they have some amazing tools to help parents raise children that are full of Godly character and Biblical principles.
I was priveldged to review their Character Training charts in my home for the past few weeks. These have proven to be an amazing tool for our children and while it has taken time to implement and has required me to invest a few more hours into child training than normal at first, I am already seeing the results. My children are starting resolve conflicts without coming to me for each altercation. And they are learning the Bible verses attached to each step in the restitution proccess.
The “If-Then” chart has helped me with consistancy throughout the day. My husband and I choose the consequences that we were comfortable with and wrote them in the blanks on the chart. Now, there is no time spent thinking of the appropriate punishment during that time. We go to the chart and there it is. No thought needed. Doorposts provides ideas on the back of the chart that you can use, or you can choose your own.
The “Blessing Chart” also has empty spaces where the family can choose which reward works for their family. We have not been nearly as consistant using this chart as I would like but I need to get a few things in place before it becomes “easy” to use the rewards that we choose. I am looking forward to using this chart to encourage good choices in my children
The “Brother Offended” checklist and booklet are great for the conflict resolution part of family life. The has step by step instructions for working through the issue with the “offender” and the “offended”. The poster is a picture version of the book that eventually the children can go to and use without mom or dad. This has cut down on the number of times I have to settle an agrument, especially between my older children. This chart took some time to learn to use but I love it now. And I love the fruit that I am seeing in the lives and hearts of my children.
And the fourth chart in this set is the “Go to the Ant” chart. This chart is full of Bible verses that will assist you in dealing with a child that is less than willing to help around the house or that child that doesn’t apply him/herself when needed. It addresses such issues as serving God, humility, consideration, and thoroughness. Plus many more. There is a Bible verse for each attitude/action that can be used for correction or even for writing out as a punishment if you so choose.
These four charts work hand in hand to help a parent train their children to handle life with Godly characters and principles. Visit Doorposts today to see many other resources to help you with the job of parenting.

I have been thinking about these charts for awhile. I haven’t had the extra money to purchase so it would be awesome to win!
I would love to win these! Servingsand@yahoo.com
In addition to the Parenting Essentials package, I would also like to use Honor Your Father and Mother so our boys would learn that they should obey because that is what God expects us to do as children. I would also like to use the Plants Grown Up because we have three boys whom we want to teach how to be godly men. We thought another parenting tool was going to be it for us, but we recently discovered Doorposts. Finally, a tool which would help us to parent the way we’ve been wanting to! We would love to win this as we have not been able to order any Doorposts yet.
