This year I have made lots and lots of gifts for those that I love. I love giving gifts that I have put effort into and that are personalized for that person. I wanted to share some pictures of my homemade Christmas ideas and maybe inspire you to make a few gifts this year instead of buy them all.
This Scrap Wreath was made with bits and pieces of fabric that I inherited from my great aunt, a wire hanger, and lots of time. They are gifts for lots of people that I love all made in their favorite colors.
This little crocheted purse is for my daughter Katherine. I can’t wait to watch her fill it with all her treasures and cart it around like a big girl.
These towels are made with a little bit of yarn and a dish towel. This one was made for my best friend and I also made them for the librarians that teach my children’s classes and other important people in our lives.
I love this scarf pattern. I can make it narrow or wide, fancy and casual and yet it is the same pattern.
This is a crocheted pencil holder with a paper towel tube used to reinforce the sides. I added a couple flowers to “fancy” it up and it made a great gift for my best friend’s daughter.
This is a simple craft that my girls helped with. They are simply canning ring wrapped in yarn but will look great on grandparent’s trees.
Are you giving handmade gifts this year? I would love to see a picture or hear about them in the comments.
