Holiday Gift Guide – Homemakers Friend Review and Giveaway

I can’t wait for 2013 to start! And the reason is because of this amazing little planner! It was designed by a woman for women everywhere. It has everything!! It has inspirational quotes and Bible verses to encourage us on this journey of serving our families. And it has many tabs to organize almost anything you could think of. There is a year at a glance calander, a monthly calander, and even a weekly calander. There is enough room on each day in the weekly calander that I will be using this as my new school planner/hour log for 2013. And yet it is small enough that I can carry it in my purse to planning meetings for church and the new homeschool co-op I have started.

Clearly Labeled Tabs make finding what you need quick and easy.

And the features don’t stop there! This little gem has a “Task” section with page after page of lined paper for listing items that need attention. There is another section for family and friends information so that it is always at your finger tips.

Week Planner with a handy “tasks” list for each week.

And if that wasn’t enough this is the first planner that I have ever seen that has tear out lists in the back. You won’t ever loose that list that you started again!! And there are lots of them so they should last most of the year!

Here are a few words from the designer –
As a homemaker, my daily planner is a friend that helps me juggle dentist appointments and ripe peaches with bulging clothes hampers and potlucks. It is a central location where I can make notations about upcoming church and social events, household jobs, appointments, children’s activities and more. A planner gives me a visual image of present duties and future commitments.”

One thing I love about a good planner is that I can write down each little thing that is on my mind so that when I have even just a few minutes I can knock something off my list. I don’t waste those few minutes in between bigger jobs or commitments because I have learned that those minutes add up FAST!!

” Besides the daily to-do list, it is helpful to keep a running tasks list. These are projects to be worked at as you have time, like sewing school clothes, organizing your recipe collection or updating baby books.  There are some projects that must be done and others that are not as urgent. If we keep a list of these projects we can more easily decide when to work them into our schedules. Don’t feel defeated if you never get to the end of this list. It is always “running,” catching more as the days go by. Just write the things down and then forget them until you can make time. Occasionally, I decide to not do a project and I cross it off the list. Maybe I’ll move another one to next year. Tasks list may be categorized by one month, by two months or by seasons.”

In each season of life a planner is a nice tool and a stress reducer for our busy lives. And this is one of the best ones I have ever seen. 1. All area need more organization, but I’d really like to create a housework schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) and stick with it.

  2. I need to organize meal planning, but the thing that needs it most is our clothing storage. With 5 kids still at home and passing things down it gets to be overwhelming quickly!

  3. I am always striving for more organisation in my life & I haven’t brought a planner for next year & this one looks wonderful!
