If God has gone before you to prepare your day, who are we to worry about what might happen. |
Each and every day we have a choice to make. Are you going to be governed by your feelings, emotions, and surroundings or are you going to claim the promises of Scrpiture and live as Christ intended you to live?
Deuteronomy 31:7-8
7 Then A)”> Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, B)”> “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it. 8 It is the LordC)”> who goes before you. He will be with you; D)”> he will not leave you or forsake you. E)”> Do not fear or be dismayed.”
No where do I see a spirit of worry or stress. It is a test of faith really. Are you going to live in your own strength and worry about what you can’t change or what might happen or are you going to be strong and courageous? We can not be strong in our own flesh. We must allow God to strengthen us and to “go before us” to prepare the way. If God is going before us we need not worry about what lies ahead, be it a loss of a job, social issues, government intrusion, or even an illness. He is preparing our way and is preparing us for that. We ARE strong enough for whatever comes. If we follow Him, in His strength.
Can you think of any better place to rest your hand (and your trust) than in the hand of God. |
I struggle with this soooo much. I tend to be a “worrier” and must choose daily to rest in the grace that God has given me for today and not try to battle the “what-if’s” of tomorrow. For His Grace is suffecient and new each morning. I haven’t been given the grace and the strength for tomorrow yet. So, I am learning to focus on today, to allow God to go before me, and to be strong and courageous. Do you struggle with worry and weakness? Do you tend to focus on your own strength for each day and this makes you live a life of stress, anxiety, and defeat?
