Not Me Monday (or Tuesday) – Whatever Works!

A day late and a dollar short seems to be the way my life runs right now. But there were a few things I just really wanted to share. So better late than never, I guess!

I most certainly have “never” used a CLEAN pantyliner in place of a nursing pad when I was out for the day with a friend and found my extra stash empty in the diaper bag. I was in desperate need of a nursing pad but I most definitely did not use a pantyliner as that was the only other option in the diaper bag that was absorb ant with a water prove layer. NOT ME!

I was not moved to tears as I watched all four of my children play with the same toy at the same time in quiet unity and cooperation.

While my children were having a snack this week I would never have let my oldest daughter get three candy canes off of the tree because they kept breaking. You all know that a broken candy cane just is no good. But that would be wasteful so I would NEVER do that. Nope, not me!

We all know that babies need to sleep in there own bed and not be held to sleep as this causes a very bad habit. So I never sleep on the couch holding Kate just so we can all sleep. I have most definitely not done that two out of the past three nights.

While watching tv last night with my wonderful husaband I did not cry at an old rerun show as the family waited for a call from their son’s doctor about a possible medical condition that he had. Then when the doctor called and said the son did not have the condition, I most definitly did not cry with the mother of the said son because I can remember that kind of feeling all to well. To be told that your child possibly has a life long illness that will effect their quality of life is overwhelming but then to be told that your son is totally healthy is a feeling like no other. It brought back a huge sigh of relief and an overwhelming sense of thankfulness.

Well, it is late but there it is. I hope all of you can be open and honest to the point of “talking” about the crazy things that we mothers do in this life just to survive and to stay in control, or just to avoid a huge catastrophe! I hope you all have great week. Stay focused on the true reason for the season.

I like the “not me” part of your blog the best. It really gives me a glance at how your life is going and what stresses you have had for the day. Don’t feel bad about being moved to tears. I have cried since I logged into your blog this morning and that was ohhhhh about 30 minutes ago. It’s not a big deal, but the guy next to me is probably getting annoyed at my sniffing. hahaha
