A Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY –
December 15th
Outside My Window…It is COLD and ICY and a WINTER WONDERLAND (great weather for staying home and listening to Christmas music with a candle burning)
I am thinking….. Only 10 days until Christmas! How I wish my littlest sister would be home that morning.
I am thankful for…my warm house, my husband’s job, the love of my husband, my four beautiful children, and a full pantry and freezer. All my needs are met.
From the learning room… We are finishing up school today before Christmas break begins, math, reading and Bible study are in order.
From the kitchen… It will be hamburgers and oven roasted potato wedges for dinner, and maybe some cookies this afternoon.
I am wearing… My comfy cleaning clothes. Sweats, tennis shoes and a tee-shirt
I am creating… not much these days, unless you count Christmas crafts with the kids and cookies that could be considered works of art :)
I am going… NO WHERE! Are you crazy it is super cold and icy out there.
I am reading… “The ADVENTure of Christmas” A book about the advent season and focusing our families on Christ
I am hoping… I can get everything done that needs to be done and still have a fun time during these last few days of the Christmas season.
I am hearing… my children chattering and cutting and coloring.
Around the house… MUCH laundry to be done and beds to be made and floors to be cleaned.
One of my favorite things… Hot chocolate and a good Christmas movie is what I would LOVE right now.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: baking cookies with my mom on Tuesday, wrapping gifts on Wednesday (the kids are going to my MIL’s), and a friend’s house on Friday
Here is picture thought I am sharing…

How I love my blue-eyed girl!!
