Picaboo Homeschool Yearbook Review – TOS Crew Written by AmandaS, July 17th, 2013 Picaboo Yearbooks was such a fun review to do! I think it might just be my favorite review of the TOS Crew year yet! The whole family has enjoyed the finished product and my children have shown it off any chance they have gotten. The day it came my oldest asked with such excitement, “How did WE get on the cover of a magazine?” Such a great memory. The softcover 20 page yearbook ($8.49 plus shipping which now seems to be $8.99) that I designed during the review process is a great way to document your homeschool year, a ball season, or even a baby’s first year. And at this very affordable cost you could make a homeschool yearbook for each child’s year! I also kept thinking as I went through the process that these “yearbooks” would make a great church directory option for smaller churches. The Picabook website allows you to have different people in charge of the different sections so you could even let each family log on and design their own page to reflect their family. There are so many backgrounds, photo layouts, embellishments, and fonts that each yearbook you create can truly reflect the mood, focus, and memories of each event that you choose to document. I chose to document our last homeschool year. I used picture of our daily “school life” as well as documenting each child’s personal accomplishments and some fun family memories that happened this year as well. Katherine’s Page The process was not hard at all and once you got the hang of the website and found your way around it was fun! I was able to choose backgrounds that reflect each child’s personality for the pages that feature them and they even have lots of fun sports themed backgrounds for those types of pages as well. Once I ordered my finished book the processing and shipping time was well under the estimated 3 week wait that the website tells you that it can take. And for a whole book I didn’t think it was a bad wait at all. One of the “family memory” pages that are in our book. I did find it a little hard to really understand the page layouts when I first started and that caused me several hours of “extra” work because it made my sections not lay out in the book the way that I wanted them to at first. But, I kept playing and trying and got it just right eventually and I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. I can’t wait to go back and do it again soon!! ……………………………………………………………………………………..
