1 Timothy 2:9-10

9 likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, 10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.

Modesty is so much more than just long skirts and hair. It doesn’t just effect our dress, it effects our attitudes, our home, and our hobbies. It is an attitude of the heart that is to be embraced fully and enjoyed with the blessing of your husband. For, my family modesty might mean something totally different than it does for your family. And we should all encourage each other in our convictions no matter how different they might look. As Godly women we are called to help each other, to teach each other, and to pray for one another. But sadly, we are often harder on each other than anyone el3

Titus 2:3-5

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
