Praying for your spouse is one of the most important things that you can do for your marriage. During the month of October we will be spending 31 days praying scripture over our husbands. I know that I am already a day late (sick babies are demanding) so today I am posting two days to get us on track.
Day 1- Pray that your husband will grow spiritually and consider his accountability before the Lord. Pray that he will guard his heart by developing spiritual disciplines—Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation, scripture memorization, etc.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life.
Day 2- Pray that your husband’s relationship with God and His Word will bear fruit in his life. Pray that he will be a man of wisdom and understanding, fearing the Lord.
Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.
Psalm 112:1 Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
who greatly delights in his commandments!
Beautiful series, Amanda! Thank you for sharing.
