Homemade Ramen Noodles

The other day I posted a picture of my children’s lunch on my Facebook page. I got so many questions about it and requests for the recipe that I decided to make it into a post and also a “pin” on Pinterest. This recipe for Homemade Ramen Noodles came out of my children’s love of these salty long “slurp-worthy” noodles and my desire to rid our diets of all processed and “fake” food. And it really is not any harder.

Homemade Ramen Noodles

Start with one quart of chicken stock (I make homemade stock and use it but a store bought box works well too). Bring the stock to a boil and add in 1/2 pound of spaghetti noodles. Boil the noodles until they are tender. Stir in 1/2 to 1 tsp poultry seasoning, 1/4 tsp minced garlic, and salt to taste. If you like a thicker soup you can thicken with a little flour water***

*** Take roughly 1/2 cup water and stir in about 2 TBSP flour or corn starch. Once it is a smooth mixture stir into your homemade ramen noodles a little at a time until it reaches your desired thickness.

[recipe]

1 qt chicken stock

1/2 pound spaghetti

1/2 – 1 tsp poultry seasoning

1/4 tsp minced garlic

Bring chicken stock to a boil and add pasta. Cook according to direction in stock and then add seasonings and salt to taste. Thicken if desired. Serve. Enjoy!
