The Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner has been my favorite planner ever! The size is perfect, the categories fit my life so well and the beauty of it makes it pleasing to use. I love the Bible verses scattered throughout it along with other “food for thought” quotes. Sue Hooley is the mother of six children and she has over 22 years of experience in the art of homemaking. This truly shows in this calendar as she has thought of everything. It is laid out just perfectly, as if I had designed it for my own life.
It has a great year at glance feature for easy overview planning and a two page month long calendar for simple notes and commitments. My favorite feature though is the weekly planner. I am a planner addict (hence the title of this post). I write out everything, record every engagement, and have even been known to go back and fill in a spur of the moment activity just so I have it written down that we did it.
I use this weekly planner for our homeschool log as well. It has worked better for me than anything else I have ever attempted to use. I no longer fall behind in logging our hours because my planner is also my log so it is always out and handy, no more dragging out a different list or spreadsheet to record our school work. Just like our schooling structure has become much more about learning all through life and not having just a certain window that we view as the “learning time” and then putting it away for the day, my planner and school log have merged too.
There is the great “Task” section also that is great for “to do” lists and keeping track of all the things that are going on in your life. I love list making and marking off tasks as I get them done. The feeling of accomplishment keeps me going! If you have a bigger project in the works the “Project” section is amazing! I use it for planning outreach ministries at church as well as homeschool parties, and unit studies as well. It is great for long term projects that take a lot of planning and thought.
We all know how hard it is to keep up with our shopping list don’t we! Well, with this planner now you will never loose it again. There are perforated lists in the back of the planner and there are plenty to last all year!
As you can tell Sue has truly thought of everything. I love this planner. It is truly the planner addicts dream! And it is very reasonably prices at only $13.99 per planner, but Sue also offers discounts and free shipping when you order in lots of more than one. It is a great gift option for yourself and your friends! In addition, here on Our Heart and Home, you can win one of your own Homemaker’s Friend planner. Please leave me a comment telling me one area of your life that needs more organization to enter. Giveaway ends on November 20th at midnight. Please leave me an email address to reach you. Definitely need more organization when it comes to paperwork for our business and homeschooling :)
I need more organization with getting work done, lol. I’m always forgetting to do one thing or another.
Definitely need household organization
Someplace to record daily goals would be a wonderful thing for me! I also like the idea of having one place to keep track of home school hours and the daily/weekly schedule.
I need more organization in my daily housekeeping. Well, I guess I need more “get up and do it consistently” in my housekeeping. Its something I’m working on though and I am much better than I was. I love planners and would love to give this one a try.

not just one area–my LIFE needs more organization. Between editing work, home, 5 kids and homeschool I could for sure use a new planner…and a maid ;)
I so need to be more organized! Several members of my family have health issues, and it would be so much easier to use a planner than the apt cards from the Dr/PT/OT/cardiologist to the calendar at home! The fact that this one is beautiful doesn’t hurt either ;)
My husband and I just opened a new business after being a stay-at-home mom for 12+ years. I homeschool 2 of our 4 children and they come to work with us every day. I am in need of organizing my entire life schedule! I had organization down to a science before opening our business. Now, we work 6 days a week and I am praying for at least organized chaos! I think the biggest area that needs organization is my meal planning. There are many nights when we order out because I didn’t have the time to plan ahead. This is costly not only money wise but also in health.
My whole life is in chaos right now! I just need something to keep me in line!
I def need organization in shopping lists/coupons etc and to actually have a tangible thing to open and see what is coming up vs depending on my phone!
I need to organize every part of my life, but mostly homeschool.
PLANNING/DAILY TASKS (hence need for a planner) and paper clutter! OH VEY is it bad :(
I need to get my homeschooling stuff better organized!
IT WOULD BE A REAL BLESSING TO HAVE A PLANNER! SINCE HAVING A NEW TODDLER IN THE FAMILY THIS YEAR,IT IS MORE CHALLENGING TO GET MORE ORGANIZED IN EVERY AREA! BUT I REALLY NEED TO GET BETTER PLANNED IN OUR HOMESCHOOLING ROUTINE! I AM HOMESCHOOLING TWO DIFFEREN’T AGES,ONE IN ELEMANTARY AND ONE IN HIGHSCHOOL, TODDLER SCHOOL! THANKS FOR GIVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN THIS PLANNER!
BLESSINGS!

I need to be more organized in nearly everything, but one area particularly is that I would have a time for everything. For instance, I really need to pick one day of the week that I go grocery shopping every two weeks rather than just doing it when we need more food. Overall everything I do just needs to be more purposefully timed.
My whole life needs more organization!!!!!! Lol! I would like to say that I am just kidding, but sadly I am not. I have 4 kids and someone is always off doing something and my stickie note’s are just not cutting it for us anymore.
