This week my goals are mostly homeschool goals. I got lots of “paper and computer work done last week along with two full weeks of school. I am really proud of this since Elizabeth isn’t even 3 weeks old yet and we are already back to full school routine. One pleased momma here! This week starts our homeschool library class twice a month on Thursday mornings. I might venture out that morning for the first time but we will see. I have already arranged rides for the kids if I choose not to. On Wednesday Josiah has a follow up appointment for his broken arm. I am hoping the x-ray looks good and he can get on his second cast and we can get a waterproof one this time. Only 2-3 weeks left and he will be “free” again. We are all ready.
My homeschool goals for this week are –
1. Log all of August’s hours and get my total up to date. (I can’t believe it is already September!!!! Christmas will be here before we know it!)
2. Reserve books for pick up on Thursday about the explorers that our new history chapter covers.
3. Work through some of Katherine’s books with her. I got her a new phonics book and I want to get her started in it.
4. Call about our apple picking field trip. I can’t wait!!
5. Make a box of writing prompts for Maggie. Maggie has a gift of writing and I really want to challenge her to grow this year. I not only want to see her writing grow but to also introduce her to different types of writing such as poetry and fiction. I want to get the ball rolling on this goal this week.
Do you have any homeschool goals or household goals this week? Did you finish all of your goals this past week? It is a “short” week coming off of the holiday so I have to maintain focus to get this all done.
