I have been setting weekly goals for myself each Sunday or Monday to help me stay on track better during the week. This process helps me to remember what comes next and to make sure that I make time to fit in those “extra” jobs. I don’t put everyday tasks like laundry or dishes on here. This list is for the bigger jobs that don’t need done every day. Things like mopping the floor (our house is hardwood almost throughout so this takes a whole morning) and staining the deck gate and washing windows make their way on this list.
So here is my weekly goals list for this week.
- Stain deck gate
- Label shelves in the pantry and purge items we don’t/won’t use anymore.
- Put two meals and a batch of bread in the freezer.
- Vacuum out the vents.
- Wash windows and fan in sunroom.
I try to keep my weekly goals to one per day or so. If I get more done great if not that’s okay too. Just like last week, I had a great start and had my list almost done and then Jeremiah got horribly sick again with respiratory issues so I never got the deck gate done. I just moved it to this week and smiled at the fact that I got four other jobs done.
Are you a list maker? I don’t think I could survive very long with any form of sanity if it wasn’t for lists. I love them and have them for everything!! And I would love to help you stay accountable with your weekly goals if you want to post them here in a comment then we can follow up with each other as the week progresses and watch for my updates via the Facebook page as well.
