Family Easter 2013

Our family Easter morning started early with visits and church services. We had sunrise service and breakfast with my in laws at their church, then worshipped in Sunday School and corporate worship with our church family. The services were great! I really like the Easter holiday. It is one of my favorites in that it fills us with so much hope and reminds us of the promise that Christ’s sacrifice gives us. Even though we don’t often participate in Easter egg hunts or the coloring of eggs, we still enjoy this holiday and what it means to us as children of the King.

Then we headed out to my family for a relaxing afternoon of visiting and playing on the farm. We had a wonderful lunch with my parents and then the children got to feed the cattle which never gets old to them. Then we just sat outdoors and enjoyed the (finally) warm-ish weather.

Looking pretty good after a day playing on the farm.

The day ended with a quiet and restful evening at home. It was a worshipful and renewing day. A perfect family Easter if I do say so myself. How was your Easter? Were you able to worship in the Lord’s House or spend time with family for the holiday?
