Schoolhouse Teacher.com Review – An Online Homeschool Rescource

Schoolhouse Teachers.com is a division of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine company. And I have had the great pleasure of using this homeschool online resource in my home for the past couple of weeks.  A one year membership to this amazing site is just $64.26. That provides you with a full year of daily practice work, lapbooks, notebooking forms, music lessons and more! There is just so much on this site it is hard to believe. There are tabs for pre-k all the way up to high school and even one for family activities.

I loved the fact that I could view back assignments and units and I found that they offer year-round postings for those that school all year. I also found that many of their assignments were structured in such a way that encouraged personalization and independent study, which is something that my family likes to focus on as well. We are working on one of their notebook units and my children are loving creating their own little book. We chose the topic of squirrels which is a lesson from a couple months ago but is great for us now as our backyard is full of them!

You also get a free planner with a one year membership! They offer seperate planners tailored to special learners, primary, intermediate, and high school. These planners include files with household forms, homeschool forms and calendar forms. I choose to download the Schoolhouse Planner and I was shocked to see that it contained files for handwritiing, notebooking forms, book report forms, lapbooking templates, and that is just the surface. This is an AMAZING source of tools and information for my family as we do mostly labooking and notebooking for our science and history now.

The library found on The Schoolhouse Teacher.com site is very extensive as well. There are tons and tons of free e-books and the longer you are a member the more books you can download. There are unit study e-books, encouragment books, and helpful homeschool books. I can’t wait to read all of the books that I will add to my homeschool library this year!

I have thoroughly enjoyed spending time on this site and getting to us the resources that they offer. They truly have something for every family no matter your schooling style or the ages of your children. Whether you are looking for an early learning activity to do with your toddler or a book report for your 5th grader, or even a guitar class for your high school student you will find it on Schoolhouse Teachers.com!!
