It is hard to believe that we are almost half way through our school year already! We have been so blessed this year with good attitudes, a love for learning, and an enjoyment of relationships in our home. That isn’t to say that each day is smooth sailing, or that we never have melt-downs over math problems that were missed but overall it has been a great year.

He loves doing math on the computer and is so proud that this new software has already helped him to master adding with regrouping (carrying) and he is well on his way in double digit subtraction too!
The voice on this software is easy to understand and the animations make it fun for little guys to work on. Each lesson starts with an audio lesson that teaches the concept step by step. Then at the end of the lesson there are problems for the children to work. The format that the problems are written in is new to Josiah and there has been a learning curve there because he has to take the numbers from the screen and write them on paper in order to answer the question. I think this is a great skill and I like that he is learning it but it has taken some practice to learn.

I have to agree with the above comment, the step by step guided instruction. It helps especially when teaching multiple children.
I also like that it teaches as well as offers practice and tests. We love computer based learning, it seems to make everything more enjoyable! I assume that is mostly due to my lack of ability as a teacher, lol! Still we love it.
