What is your life like?

Or I guess I should first ask, do you know where the Bible tells us the Holy Spirit dwells on Earth?

If you knew that He lives in the hearts of those that place their faith in Jesus Christ you are right.

Now, I ask you again. What does your life, or heart, look like? Is it spiritually healthy?

Is it a place that the Holy Spirit wants to be?

Think just for a minute if He wants to be dwelling in your heart beside all of the other things there. the books you are reading. The thoughts you are having about a friend, coworker, or boss. The movies that you watch. The songs that you listen to. Are they the types of things that the Holy Spirit would be comfortable living with?

To dwell doesn’t mean to visit and leave. It implies a long stay. A comfortableness.

Is the Spirit comfortable in your life?

The Spirit is most comfortable in a life filled with prayer, Godly fellowship, time in His Word, and service of others. Reading blogs no matter how good, checking Facebook, pinning on Pintrest, watching movies, reading a book, talking on the phone, all of these things can be good, but there is better.

I want to challenge you, my dear friends, that before you read Facebook, check a blog, or dive into Pintrest for the day, make sure you have spent time in the Word and in prayer. Start small. Pray for a hunger for God’s Word (trust me it works). Make it personal!! Start a journal to write down thoughts, feelings and prayer needs. If you show a little effort, God will bless you big!!
