It is the start of a new week. And this is the time I would like to start out my week by remembering 10 things that I am thankful for.
- A safe journey to see my sister in Arkansas this past week. The children and I had a wonderful visit with lots of relaxing time spent around her house just catching up and enjoying each other’s company. Such a blessing. And yes pictures are coming soon!
- The weather has been beautiful!! I love fall.
- My marriage. I love my husband and the way that we can still laugh together and even at each other 11 years later.
- Abundance. We have so much food. Most of us as Americans don’t stop to think about it but it hit me today that I have so much food in my house right now. If we ate like some people in the world are forced to eat we could last months without ever shopping.
- My children. They have impressed me beyond years this week as they laid aside their love for an animal and sent it to a new home because it needed more than we could give. They are still hurting but they know they made the right choice.
- Blankets. It is that time of year again and I love snuggling with a fuzzy blanket and the ones I love.
- Prayer. We are having a prayer focus month at church right now to focus our hearts on Christ and to cry out to Him over the upcoming election. And after just one meeting I am so excited to see what God is going to do!!
- Forgiveness. No one is perfect and yet because Christ has forgiven us we choose to forgive and move on.
- God’s Timing. I am waiting on God in several areas of my life right now. Praying for Him to make my desire to truly be His will (whatever that is) and to be truly content in that. It is HARD.
- The Internet. It makes homeschooling easier, give me a wealth of information, and helps me stay connected to people that I love who are far away. Something I don’t even think about as I use it each and every day and yet something that not everyone has. I would be lost without it!!
So there you have my VERY LATE Meaningful Monday. Would you care to join me in sharing what you are most thankful for this week?
