It has been awhile since I have posted a Meaningful Monday post. But I am hoping to get back to it more regularly. I have so many things in my life that I want to stop and take time to mention. I am so very blessed. So, here are my top 10 “Meaningful” things from this week.
- A visit (no matter how short) with my sis that lives out of state. We had dinner and the children received an awesome birthday present. I’ll share those pictures tomorrow!!
- Family time. We have had lots of family time this week and with a husband in ministry this isn’t something I take lightly.
- My garden is doing so very well this year. I couldn’t be happier and after three pretty tough years I’m looking forward to using my canner again.
- My air conditioner. It has been so hot here this week and I feel very blessed that we can afford to keep our home comfortable all year long.
- Lots and lots of snuggles with my new neice. I got to see her three times this week.
- I spent time in the kitchen with my oldest daughter this weekend and it was great. I love making memories with my children. We made HOMEMADE LAUNDRY SOAP and HOMEMADE OATMEAL CREAM PIES.
- A chance to use my camera again after a long break from photo shoots. I had three this week!!
- My new pantry is DONE!!! I can’t wait to show you pictures later this week! I love it and it looks nice and is super functional.
- While driving in the car this week I heard my children singing Bible memory verse songs. It warms my heart to see my children grow in the Lord and fall deeper in love with Him.
- Today, I will be sitting beside a dear older couple that are like grandparents to Joe and I as they lay to rest her momma. This woman was a sweet Godly woman that I have learned so much from. She will be greatly missed and it grieves my heart to see my “other” grandmother hurting so badly. And that is not something I am grateful for. But I am very grateful for the eternal security we here on Earth still have. We will see her again in Heaven. She is healed and rejoicing. She was ready. We don’t grieve for her, but rather out of our own selfishness of wanting her with us. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness.
Would you join me and share some things that you have to be thankful for? Would you share a meaningful moment from your week that you don’t want to forget? Thank you. Let’s encourage one another to stay focused on our blessings.
You always make me smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My love to all of you,
Rachel
