This is the second lapbook that I have done with “A Journey Through Learning” and I am still singing nothing but praises!! My children love them and so do I. I love that we can make a trip to the library and pick out books to go along with our study but if we don’t get there for one reason or another these lapbooks can stand alone. The downloads come with lessons to read and the printable lapbook kit as well.
This time we did their “Coloring Amphibians” lapbook. This lapbook is printed in black and white and adds another level of personalization and involvement to the process. The children not only get to enter the information that they have learned, but they also get to color the pictures as well.
Did you know that they even have lapbooks designed for preschoolers? They have a really neat lapbook for the Summer Olympics that are coming up next month. And also have math, history, science, and even Bible lapbooking kits.
Check out A Journey Through Learning’s selection HERE.
Our finished lapbook. With the coloring lapbook the children got to decorate the front. |
Or you can win a copy of their Coloring Amphibian lapbook kit here on Our Heart and Home.

I’ve been able to homeschool two of our seven children and will begin to homeschool our seven yr old grandson next year. He will be in 2nd grade! This would be a great addition to our science unit! I was so touched when I read about how the “jounrey through” began. What a special couple of ladies!

Many of the products that you see on our site that were created before 2010 were created while sitting in the hospital with Candace-for days and days and days on end. <~~~~ Poor baby and family I could not imagine losing a child. Thats a very strong momma.
We are going to be in our 3rd year of homeschooling

I am going into my second year of homeschooling. My daughter just turned 7, and my son just turned 4. I love AJTL! I have just found them, but I already have two of their lapbooks. I will be using one of their lapbooks this fall with our Thanksgiving unit.

I am struggling keeping my kids interested in school work in the summer. This could be the pick me up we need. Thanks for the giveaway,
I am a former Montessori teacher (Primary 3-6YO) I “unschooled” my son through the high school years. I have two grand-daughters, both in good schools, who are getting much of their educations at home.

I learned that the company was started by two best friend, home-schooling moms and that one of the partners became ill and passed away. I also learned that the company is associated with some very recognizable educational organizations.

I don’t homeschool, but I have been trying to work with my daughter (21 months) this summer, as I’m a school-based speech therapist and have the next few weeks off with her. We’re doing tons of fun crafts and story time to work on letter/number recognition, shapes and colors!

We have been homeschooling through the summer. DS is unable to be out in the heat, so we school in the summer and vacation in the winter. Works well for us. We’ve been homeschooling for 7 years now.
