Encouragement

Here is a verse of encouragement that has spoken volumes to me over the years. It continues to bless my heart and renew my spirit over and over again. It is found in Galatians chapter 7. It speaks about reaping and sowing and the law of the harvest. But it goes on to mention that we should not give up. Sometimes as a pastor’s wife it is hard to not get discouraged. Things and changes take time. Not only time as in waiting but time as in my husband serving, or me serving. It takes time away from something else, most often our family. But when I get “down” or disheartened I turn back to this verse.
I am then reminded that in GOD’S time I will reap a harvest if I don’t give up. How many things in your life have you started and then stopped in the middle only to wonder why they didn’t produce change? Well, I want to encourage you us that we must not give up.

Christ never gives up on us as He continues to teach us and to change us. We should never give up on a work that He has called us to do. That is why it is so important to make sure that the work we are beginning is something He is calling us to do. If it is then we will reap a harvest in His time if we do not give up.

So, continue on my friends in the calling He has placed on your life and do not give up! Do not grow weary! Focus on Christ and in due time we will reap a harvest!!!

Galatians 6:7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
